Tickets are on sale now for the McCarter Theatre Center‘s production of Tennessee Williams‘ 1950s film masterpiece, Baby Doll. The show runs from September 11 through October 11th.
The production stars Patricia Conolly, Susannah Hoffman, Robert Joy, and Dylan McDermott. Adaptation to stage by Pierre Laville and Emily Mann and directed by Emily Mann.
Baby Doll was condemned in its time for its riveting tale of commercial and erotic vengeance. The American premiere of this theatrical adaptation will ignite the stage with its darkly comic, steamy tale of one delicate girl’s awakening. From the author of Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, The Glass Menagerie, and A Streetcar Named Desire, Baby Doll is pure Williams, an enthralling tale of prejudice, sexual politics, and passion.
