Pale blues and serene greens can really change the mood of a space. No need to break out the paintbrush or buy a new sofa to get those peaceful, chill Spring vibes. Instead, focus on layering colored accents into your existing decor—adding a blue frame or candle on a living room console, placing a porcelain glass vase full of fresh flowers artfully on a mantel, and showcasing crystal topped containers can all enhance your room’s positive energy.

EMBRACE YOUR INNER DESIGNER & CUSTOMIZE YOUR OWN DREAM ROOM

wd_maidenhome_blog_-9_preview-683x1024There are a few things in life I’ve recently realized are nearly impossible to find. 1.) the perfect wedding dress. 2.) a kitchen table that feels like home and 3.) my dream sofa. But, I can honestly say, if it wasn’t for that one rogue unicorn sofa, I think we would still be on the hunt.

Of course, after my sofa search came to full fruition, a unique custom furniture company by the name of Maiden Home, reached out to W&D in regards to partnering on a custom interior design project. As I browsed through their website I couldn’t wait to learn more about their process.

Lately, with my own bohemian home decor company, Arden Trading Co., I’ve been thinking a lot about customizing my own pillows, duvet covers, and even furniture. The world of creating your own home goods is so interesting to me! So when I discovered that you can customize your own furniture with Maiden Home I looked at Kate and said, “We need to do this!” How fun!  Continue reading and Wit & Delight
