Westminster Jubilee Singers: Examine Me

Westminster Jubilee Singers explores the Psalter (book of Psalms) and performs settings by African American composers. The program features Psalm I by Nathan Carter, “The Lord Is My Shepherd, Alleluia” from Adolphus Hailstork’s I Will Lift Up Mine Eyes, Margaret Douroux’s Day and Night Praise and works by Cedric Dent and M. Roger Holland.

Westminster Choir: Half Acre

Westminster Choir presents a program that takes its title from Dan Messé’s evocative song Half Acre, and includes works by Johannes Brahms, Claudio Monteverdi, Eric Whitacre and Ted Hearne, as well as American folk songs and spirituals. Featuring pianist J.J. Penna.

You’re invited to An Evening with Bollywood celebrating Indian culture. The event is 4-9pm at the Princeton Shopping Center. Here is the schedule:
4-6pm: “Open Bazaar” market featuring Indian “Mehndi” henna tattoos, Bollywood-inspired arts and crafts, handmade jewelry and apparel, Indian food and drinks, and more!

6-7pm: Bollywood dance performance by Uma Kapoor’s NachNation in the courtyard – bring a lawnchair or blanket!

7-9pm: Bollywood dance party – come one, come all!

More than 10,000 Montgomery and surrounding town residents gathered for a day of family, food, fun, and live entertainment. We were glad to see the members of our local businesses, restaurants, community organizations, Montgomery school district clubs and sports organizations who participated and were vital to the event’s success. We believe Montgomery FunFest will continue to be a dynamic event for the entire community!

An opportunity for children of all ages to “sign” the Declaration of Independence

Learn about and participate in various activities from early American domestic life portrayed by more than a dozen professional reenactors including: blacksmith (new this year!) , ice cream maker, papermaker, soldier’s life, children’s games, braided cordmaking with a lucet, spinning, botanical printmaking, music, gunsmithing and more!

“Revolutionary Tea” program with display and songs performed by Stacy Flora Roth
Why was tea so important in the lives of 18th century people that fashion-conscious families posed for portraits with their tea sets? Did Great Britain lose her American Colonies over “the cup that cheers?” Find out in this unusual costumed presentation of tea lore, history, songs, poetry, living history display and demonstration.
Create Parade Flags & Pinwheels with Arts Council of Princeton
The Arts Council’s Amy Kisby will work with children of all ages to create flags and pinwheels to wave during our 4th of July Parade march to America’s birthday cake presentation!

Live Bluegrass Music
Bring chairs and a blanket and enjoy music by Ocean Country Band on Morven’s front porch

PARKING AND WEATHER:
Parking: Guests are invited to use the Princeton Theological Seminary or Monument Hall parking lots, or can park on the street. There will be no parking at Morven since so many children will be on the grounds.

Jazz at the Movies Free Concert and Tour

A night of jazz at the The Princeton Abbey where music meets Hollywood. International jazz recording artist Candice Hoyes and her band will celebrate the gems of the American Songbook that were born on a Hollywood sound stage spanning “Meet Me in St. Louis” to “La La Land.” The music will be accompanied by clips from classic films, making this an event to be enjoyed by the whole family. All ages welcome; no admission fee.
